Biography
Aaron S. Halpern, Esq., a partner at Silver & Kelmachter, LLP, is a seasoned litigator and trial attorney who over the course of his career has earned an excellent reputation for successfully litigating and achieving outstanding results for his clients. He is committed to the zealous yet compassionate representation of his clients, many of whom have wrongfully suffered catastrophic injuries. He represents individuals and families who have suffered serious injuries and approaches each matter with careful preparation and individualized attention to detail with a focus on achieving outstanding results.
Mr. Halpern concentrates his practice in personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, toxic torts, construction accidents, Child Victims’ Act litigation, and complex mass tort cases. He has substantial experience representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration, and is involved in all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, pleadings, motion practice, depositions, expert discovery, trial preparation, trial, and appellate advocacy.
Prior to joining Silver & Kelmachter, LLP, Mr. Halpern was a partner at another prominent personal injury law firm, where he handled a broad range of serious injury and wrongful death matters. Earlier in his career, he practiced at a major national law firm, an experience that provided him with a strong foundation in complex litigation, legal analysis, and motion practice. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Burrell I. Humphreys of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic County, where he gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making and trial procedure.
Within the firm, Mr. Halpern plays an integral role in the development and prosecution of cases, including evaluating new matters, shaping litigation strategy, preparing and examining witnesses, and working closely with colleagues throughout discovery and trial preparation. He is known for his measured judgment and collaborative approach to complex litigation.
Mr. Halpern is active in professional and civic service. He is a Barrister member of the Kings County Nathan R. Sobel Chapter of the American Inns of Court, reflecting his commitment to professionalism and trial advocacy. He has also served three terms as an elected Trustee for the Village of Thomaston in Great Neck, Long Island, where he participates in municipal governance and oversight.
