Biography

Sara Cate Ruff, Esq., is an associate attorney at Silver & Kelmachter, LLP whose practice focuses on personal injury and Child Victims’ Act litigation. She represents individuals who have suffered serious harm as a result of abuse or negligence and approaches her work with care, professionalism, and attention to the sensitive nature of these matters.

Prior to joining Silver & Kelmachter, LLP, Ms. Ruff interned with Brooklyn Defender Services’ Family Defense Practice, where she conducted client interviews and assisted in addressing complex issues arising in Family Court proceedings. She subsequently worked as a legal clerk and associate attorney at a New York City law firm handling medical malpractice, Child Victims’ Act, and Adult Survivors Act matters, including claims arising from abuse within the New York State correctional system.

Ms. Ruff is involved in all stages of litigation, including case investigation, client communication, discovery, and trial preparation, and works closely with senior attorneys in developing and prosecuting cases. She is known for her thoughtful approach to client representation and her ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.

Ms. Ruff earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and her undergraduate degree from Biola University. She is admitted to practice in New York State courts.
